DEVIN R. NEGRETE

Devin R. Negrete has worked as a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for Dig Safely New York since 2019 in Syracuse, NY. There she has created social media campaigns, implemented marketing ideas, and landed the organization in the press.

Before she started at Dig Safely New York she bounced around in the communications field for three years between journalism and public relations. She joined FOX 40 in Binghamton, New York as the 10 p.m. News Anchor in July 2018. However, she soon realized she had outgrown the industry and wanted to stick to helping other companies tell their stories.

Her first start in the PR field was as a Public Relations Specialist for Travelers Haven and Hotel Engine in Denver, Colorado. There she landed the company in Forbes Magazine, on live TV at the local news station and helped it win awards for all its great work.

Before switching gears, she spent time at WSAV News 3 in Savannah, Georgia as the 10 p.m. & 11 p.m. multimedia journalist where she covered stories from breaking news to crime and city/county issues. She also covered the wrath and devastation of Hurricane Matthew in October 2016.

Prior to uprooting to the south, Devin’s first gig in the industry started in January 2015 at KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri as Weekend Anchor/Reporter. While at KQ2, she covered a variety of stories from live breaking news to human interest pieces. She also traveled to Kansas City, Missouri to lead her station’s coverage of the 2015 World Series Championship homecoming parade of the Kansas City Royals

Devin graduated from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in 2014 where she earned her B.S. in Digital Media Production.
